Organising events

Organising events

Organising events can be fun and rewarding, and are not just about raising money. It will give you a challenge to take on and get fellow colleagues and family and friends involved.

There is so much scope with regard to organising an event - so much to choose from - the list is endless. Some examples include:

  • Ball
  • Coffee mornings
  • Car boot sales
  • Fete
  • Fun Run
  • Karaoke night
  • Parachuting
  • Race night
  • Quiz night
  • Theme party
  • Tombola

The list can go on. You can organise the event by yourself or get others involved and make it a team event.

What you need to think about before you start are things like:

  • Will it be successful and raise money?
  • Have I got enough time available to commit to organising it?
  • Who is my target audience?
  • Will it be expensive to organise?
  • Will it be fun to organise?
  • Will people want to support it?
